Living outside the US for the last 40+ years, I have no idea what is going on there now, But having just read Bageant’s Deer Hunting for Jesus I have some idea. The book explains how and why the second Bush got elected and in so doing goes a long way towards explaining Trump. Sorry Bageant apparently died before he could address the issue.
